Charity concert in memory of Canon David Pollard - in aid of Chestnut Tree House Children's Hospice, Petworth 1st Scout Group and Young People in the Petworth Festival.

Lisa Scott (soprano) with Matthew Cooke (piano). A varied programme of opera and oratorio arias, folksongs and songs from the shows.

Thursday 1st May 2008 (Ascension Day) Parish Church of St Mary the Virgin, Petworth, 6:30 pm
Recital to celebrate the centenary of the birth of the composer Olivier Messiaen (1908-1992) "L'Ascension" - four symphonic meditations Matthew Cooke (organ).

Collection for the Lighting Fund. The recital will last half an hour and will be followed by a said eucharist. All are welcome to attend either or both.
